Mindfulness Essentials: Timeless techniques, modern context, shared stillness

(IN-PERSON) Curious about mindfulness and meditation? Join us for a relaxed, monthly drop-in session where we explore Buddhist meditation and practical ways to bring control into everday life. A chance to step out of the usual pace, and learn to carry a sense of steadiness into the moments that normally pull you off balance.
Whether youโre brand new or returning to practice, this is a friendly space to unwind, ask questions, and reconnectโwith yourself and others.
Each session includes:
- Guuided meditation practices rooted in Buddhist tradition
- Reflections informed by modern psychological science
- Space to ask questions and explore what actually works for you
Whether youโre new to meditation or returning after trying on your own, youโll find a supportive environment that meets you where you are. No pressure. No preaching. Just a calm, thoughtful hour together.
Come a little early and stay a little later for chai, biscuits, and warm conversation.
Sessions are by donation, open to all, and guided by Coreyโsomeone who bridges the world of meditation halls and research labs with heart and humour. Come as you areโฆ and leave a little more grounded.
โMeditation is action. Itโs quite simple, too. You can see that a few short minutes of morning meditation, maybe half an hour, can bring quiet, peace and awareness to the rest of your day.โ
