How would you like to make continuous light offerings to all the Buddhas?! 
Making continuous light offerings is easy in the modern age! With the mere flick of a switch you can offer hundreds of lights. Each time we turn on the altar lights and chandeliers for class, you accumulate skies of merit!
Offering light has numerous benefits, including dispelling ignorance and achieving wisdom, creating positive karma for wealth and higher rebirths, and quickly attaining enlightenment. Offering lights is a cause to illuminate the minds of all sentient beings. It is also said to ensure you are never in darkness while circling in samsara and to be protected from harm.
We invite you to become part of our light offering project, replacing the lightbulbs in our beautiful chandeliers. We have 8 chandeliers in the gompa and 12 in the library, plus many lotus lights in our altars – taking the total lightbulbs needed to over 200 annually!
Any donation amount is hugely beneficial, and the more people involved the better!

The FPMT Community Support Fund was created in 2024 as a new formation of the International Merit Box Project, which provided grants to aid local FPMT centres, projects, services and study groups, and other Dharma initiatives for over 21 years. This new project will continue offering this vital support through grants each year.
LTC has already benefited from three of these grants from FPMT. All those coins and on-going donations add up to a sizable portion each year!
They say that karmically, it is better that many people put in a few dollars, than one person put in the whole amount. With the FPMT Community Support Fund, there are so many contributors the karma becomes strong and extensive.

Our library is one of the best Buddhist libraries in Australia! It is funded by donations in kind, any profit from sale of books in our shop, and from a regular and generous stream of monetary donations. Offering to the library is the part of the practice of making offerings to the Dharma Jewel, and the highest form of the generosity.

LTC has a special interest in the welfare of the dear animals. We hold regular sutra recitations at various animal sanctuaries and rescue farms throughout SE Queensland, benefiting in the most extensive of ways. Spiritually, Reciting the sutra leaves positive imprints on their minds, and physically, all donations collected on the day are offered to the host to help care for the animals.
