Cultivate a peaceful, calm mind, with guided mindfulness meditations for both established students and complete beginners. Discover how to set a comfortable posture, practice mindful breathing, and enjoy simple calming meditations. (IN-PERSON)
Make your life highly meaningful, and so easily, and with only small hardships, collect a great deal of merit. Precepts days are powerful. By taking the Eight Mahayana Precepts for a day, every meritorious act you do on this day is greatly multiplied. It also guards you from creating any new negative karma - which also would be multiplied! (PRACTICE ALONG at your preferred time with a pre-recorded puja)
Following on from the teachings with our precious guru Geshe Tenzin Zopa, this regular monthly practice will help maintain the momentum of the teachings, and our enthusiasm for practice over the long-term. With especially prepared resource materials and the support of the group we will be able to fulfill our first Ngöndro commitment, and be ready for the second Ngöndro with Geshe-la in 2025. This term we begin the sixth perfection, the Perfection of Wisdom. Why is this the most important of the Six Perfections? Because all of us share the wish to be happy and to overcome duḥkha. We recognise how the situation in saṃsāra is utterly unsatisfactory, but ceasing samsara entails eradicating its causes, and these are rooted in the ignorance grasping persons and phenomena as inherently existent. By meditating with the wisdom directly perceiving emptiness, the afflictions and their seeds can be gradually cleansed from one's mindstream until full awakening is on the horizon! (Fortnightly in-depth course ONLINE)
Spend a relaxed morning enjoying a guided meditation led by the LTC nuns! Mindfulness breathing, short Q&A, followed by a cleansing meditation on the Buddha. Stay on afterwards for delicious chai tea in reception! (IN-PERSON)
