Annual All-night Tara Puja

Event Series Event Series (See All)

Saturday 9 November @ 6:30 pm 11:45 pm

A special all-night practice for world peace, personal flourishing, and the long lives of our gurus. It includes chanting, circumambulations, offerings and prostrations. Come for the first session (much like the regular Tara puja), or stay for the whole night! Similar to the regular Tara Puja, but with extra prayers, mantras for each individual Tara, added White Tara Long Life practice and Dzambhala practice, and lots of chai tea! There is no danger of falling asleep as there is so much to do!

The Tara practice is particularly helpful in resolving emergencies and difficult situations, protecting from diseases, natural disasters, work or relationship problems, violence and wars.

Arya Tara liberates from all fears – including anxiety, stress, and trauma. This practice works on the deep inner causes of many of our problems and helps shift the disturbing emotions that so often sabotage our practice and derail our life.

Tara is quick to grant success in obtaining the ultimate happiness of enlightenment. You receive much good merit, or cause of happiness; it prevents a suffering rebirth in your next life; you receive initiation from millions of buddhas; and you achieve enlightenment.

Come to just the first session (and join us for dinner afterwards), or join us for all four. You can even join later in the night if you have prior engagements! Or wake up really early and come for the final morning session!

“All the actions of the buddhas have manifested in this female aspect of buddha, Tara the Liberator, in order to help living beings to accomplish successfully both temporal and ultimate happiness.”
