Doing retreat—even while still working at one’s job—is so beneficial as it allows you to make progress in your Dharma practice.
Retreat Room
Whether it’s a weekend Lamrim immersion or a short deity practice, we can help you tailor a perfect beginner’s retreat experience!
We are delighted to offer our inner-city Retreat Room to LTC Members for short-term retreat (from 2-3 nights up to 2 weeks). Let us help you select a topic, plan your schedule, organise supporting activities to do in the breaks, and supply a wealth of recommended reading!
“When you practice pure Dharma there is so much peace and happiness in your heart. When you are not practicing pure Dharma, you are doing something but it is not pure because your mind is stained or possessed by the thought of the eight worldly dharmas—attachment, looking for reputation, power, wealth, long life, health, and all the pleasures and comforts of this life for oneself…”
– Lama Zopa Rinpoche

Booking a Retreat
The Retreat Room is offered for the use of all LTC Members (priority is given to LTC benefactors).
Email Miffi to help find a suitable date for your retreat. This can be an auspicious day, a day off, or a spare weekend! Once we have worked out a suitable date together, you can make a donation for your retreat here. Please give us at least one week notice to help us plan.
We recommend you start the night before, so that you can wake up in retreat. A good configuration is arriving Friday evening and finishing at lunch on Sunday or after the first session Monday morning.
Make a Donation
Use of the retreat room is by donation. Whether you make your donation at a hotel price or at a renunciate price – please offer what is comfortable and possible within your current means!
