Geshe Tenzin Zopa is a highly accomplished Buddhist master known for his warmth, humility, and engaging teaching style. Born in Nepal’s remote Tsum Valley and ordained at age nine by the revered Geshe Lama Konchog, he went on to earn his Geshe degree (equivalent to a PhD in Buddhist philosophy) from Sera Jey Monastic University, ranking among the top students. Fluent in English and several other languages, Geshe-la bridges ancient wisdom and modern relevance with clarity and compassion. He has taught globally—including at Oxford University—and is the central figure in the award-winning documentary Unmistaken Child, which follows his search for his late master’s reincarnation.
