Diamond Cutter – Sutra & Verse

(Both visa applications for Geshe Sherab were denied, so it is with great sadness that we have been forced to CANCEL this tour). REPLACEMENT PROGRAM: Eddie Peet will give a short explanation of the evocative analogies in the verse at the end of the Diamond Cutter Sutra:
“So you should view this fleeting world —
A star at dawn, a bubble in a stream,
A flash of lightening in a summer cloud,
A flickering lamp, a phantom, and a dream.”
After the break we will recite the Diamond Cutter Sutra together as a group, so we can create the much needed merit for future tours and visits from our precious Geshes.

REPLACEMENT PROGRAM: This evening we will recite the Diamond Cutter Sutra together as a group, so we can create the much needed merit for future tours and visits from our precious Geshes. Eddie Peet will also give a short talk on the extraordinary discovery of this sutra – the world’s first printed book – and how it was very nearly lost to us in several times over.
