Geshe-ma Rinchen Pal

Geshe-ma Rinchen Pal became a nun when she was 11 years old, and after that lived in a nunnery in Bhutan. In 1993 she joined Jamyang Choling Institute and began formal classes, successfully completing the 17 year course in 2011. She had the historic opportunity to graduate as a Geshema (equivalent to Doctorate in Buddhist Philosophy), receiving her degree, with a distinction, from His Holiness Dalai Lama in 2016.
