GESHE SHERAB TOUR: Blessing the Birds Walk by Kangaroo Cliffs

(IN-PERSON) Geshe-la loves nature, and often takes nature walks wherever he is, all the while blessing the birds with mantras, and blessing the environment, the ground, the river, as well. We invite all you early birds to join Geshe-la in an early morning walk along the river by the cliffs, and then possibly across the river by foot or ferry, to share a snack and coffee.

Meeting up Details

Meet at CT White Park – 22 Bright Street Kangaroo Point. Map location is here.  There is free on the street parking until 9am. 

We will then walk along the lower terrace about 1km toward Southbank and take in some of the art pieces (3-7) along the way Art and the River Public Art Trail | Brisbane City Council
There are places along the way to stop and look down into the river for blessing fish etc.

We then have the option to either;

1. climb the very steep steps of the cliff up to Joey’s on Leopard St and then come back down and walk back to car (walk would be about 2km in total)
2. walk back toward car and take small set of steps near Thornton St up to Main St and walk past St Vincents toward Joey’s for breakfast (walk would be about 3km in total)

Which option we choose will depend on who comes.  The steep climb gets the pumping and may not be appropriate for some.
