Cittamani Tara Puja

(HYBRID) The buddha Tara embodies the enlightened activity of compassion. This powerful ceremony is especially effective for clearing obstacles, receiving support in times of crisis, resolving conflicts, and revitalising spiritual practice.
Tara is known as โShe Who Savesโ โ a liberator from all fears, including anxiety, stress, and trauma. Her practice works deeply on the inner causes of suffering, helping to transform the emotional patterns that often disrupt our lives and spiritual progress.
During the puja, we chant the praises of the 21 Taras, offer long mandalas, scatter flowers, and present symbolic offerings using traditional mudras (hand gestures). The ceremony is chanted in both English and Tibetan, rich with sacred symbolism and meaning.
Taraโs name means โstarโ or โshe who ferries across,โ and she appears in female form as a bodhisattva of compassion. Green Tara, in particular, represents compassion in action โ always ready to step down from her lotus throne to help sentient beings.
Tara is swift to respond to prayers. Her practice brings immense merit, protects against suffering in future lives, and supports the path to enlightenment. Lama Zopa Rinpoche shares that many people experience tangible benefits from Tara practice โ from healing illness and avoiding untimely death, to finding jobs, improving relationships, and even conceiving children.
โAll the actions of the buddhas have manifested in this female aspect of buddha, Tara the Liberator, in order to help living beings to accomplish successfully both temporal and ultimate happiness.โ

There is a section in the puja for personal dedications โ for the sick and vulnerable, for healing the planet, for the end of the pandemic, and for the long life of our precious teachers. We also dedicate for success in our studies and the fulfilment of all our Dharma aspirations.
