Ven. Robina Courtin – PUBLIC TALK #1
Tuesday 13 September @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Ven. Robina will share her considerable insight and unique approach to integrating four immense and life-changing attitudes into our modern lives. Discover the immense benefit these four can bring to our lives and those of others. What are they? Loving-kindness, compassion, sympathetic joy, and equanimity.
These four attitudes are mind-expanding thoughts that take as their object all beings without exception, as limitless as space. As positive mental states create a sense of balance and unlimited abundance in our minds and attitudes towards others, and are an important method for weakening the self-grasping attitude that keeps us closed off from others.
We invite you to the first of two public talks where Ven. Robina will elaborate on the theme, and take questions from the audience.
Ven. Robina Courtin has been a nun in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition for over 40 years. With boundless energy and charisma, her style when teaching the Dharma is sparklingly clear, direct and compassionate. She leaves an indelible impression on everyone she meets. Introducing basic Buddhist philosophy in a practical way, Ven. Robina addresses crowds both large and small, going one-to-one with any Dharma student who needs her.
Presented by touring FPMT teacher:
