The protector chants and ritual praises serve to strengthen our connection to the Dharma and dispel interferences, distractions and obstacles. They protect against the very worst of the disturbing emotions, dispelling them with the forceful compassion needed for such powerful obstacles. Their frightening aspect vanquishes our self-cherishing and self-grasping, far worse than any external enemy.
Geshe Zopa will give a short explanation about the protector practices, and how we can best interpret the confronting imagery to get the most out of this ritual. Geshe-la will then lead us through the actual praises with the traditional music of cymbals and drum.
Geshe Tenzin Zopa possesses vast scriptural knowledge, extensive teaching experience, has successfully managed major projects, has completed many retreats including a 6 month Highest Yoga Tantra retreat with the late Geshe Lama Konchog and is highly skilled in rituals, astrological observations and religious dance.
