tara puja

Tara Puja

Held once a month on the Tibetan 8th of the Buddhist calendar.

Arya Tara is a manifestation of compassionate activity, so this ceremony is particularly helpful in removing obstacles, receiving help in emergencies, resolving conflicts and energising spiritual stagnation. In the aspect of Cittamani Tara she benefits quickly the mind of those who pray to her. Tara is the guardian from all fears and anxieties. She arrives, ready to put to right the most terrible of situations.

If you cannot make it to the puja but would still like to be involved, you can sponsor a puja by donating securely online. We invite you to also email in your dedications to be read on the night. You can dedicate for the well-being of friends and family, for the sick and vulnerable, for healing the planet, and for the success of your studies, of a project, and your Dharma aspirations.

We chant praises to the 21 Taras, make long mandala offerings, strew flowers and make offerings. This traditional offering ceremony is chanted in English, Sanskrit and Tibetan, and is rich in symbolism. Remember to BYO mandala set (if you have one). All welcome, even if you have never come to a puja before! No need to book, just come along.
