Join us for a joyful ceremony to bring in the Tibetan New Year. Held during the 14 special Buddha days, beginning with Losar and ending with the Day of Miracles, where the merits are multiplied millions of times. It is a great day for spiritual activity, making offerings, and setting a positive course for the coming year.
If you cannot make it to the puja but would still like to be involved, you can sponsor a puja by donating securely online. We invite you to also email in your dedications to be read on the night. You can dedicate for the well-being of friends and family, for the sick and vulnerable, for healing the planet, and for the success of your studies, of a project, and your Dharma aspirations.
The Skayamuni Buddha puja is a celebration of the Buddha’s life, constructed around the seven-limb offering, and sung in English to the traditional Tibetan tunes. We recite praises to the Buddha based on stories from the Jataka, make copious offerings, offer delicious chai tea, make personal dedications, and strew flowers to the ten directions!
This is an uplifting and inspiring occasion where you have the opportunity, if you wish, to make special prayers for sick family members, success of projects and endeavours, the removal of obstacles and the flourishing of Dharma and the resources for a meaningful life.
