Topics to be discussed include: What is mindfulness? What is mindful parenting? What are its benefits for children and parents/caregivers? Strategies to live a more mindful life. Simple ways to help children practice mindfulness.

The session will be led by hands-on grandmother and Buddhist nun, Ven. Lozang Drolkar, who is also leading sessions at QPAC’s 2016 Out of the Box Festival. Ordained in the tradition of H.H. the Dalai Lama, Ven. Drolkar has a degree in Applied Ethics, leads classes in mindfulness at Griffith University and Langri Tangpa Buddhist Centre and loves to laugh.
