For the first time ever, Mindful Families will be celebrating Saka Dawa online! Demi Kehoe and Venerable Tseten will be leading this event together, and would like to welcome all families to join us in celebrating the universal values of kindness and wisdom, embodied by the Buddha, and something we can all emulate in our own lives. There will be a meditation, a discussion about what Saka Dawa is about (celebration of Buddha’s birth, life and enlightenment) as well as a story reading. We will have our annual Baby Buddha bath offering, just the online version! We look forward to seeing you there!
Important: We would also like to invite all families to get their hands on a cupcake (store bought or home made) so we can all offer Baby Buddha numerous birthday cakes from all our respective screens.
Celebrating Buddha’s birthday is a way to celebrate your own inner qualities and begin to bring forth your own buddha nature. All you need is the zoom app installed on a laptop or tablet with a working mic and a camera. We’re going to start promptly, so…
– register early so you get reminders
– secure zoom link arrives 15 minutes before class (check spam!)
– make sure you download the zoom app first (computer or tablet)
– if things go wrong just email us! (don’t phone, we can’t answer!)
