Mindful Families Celebrates Buddha’s Birthday!
Saturday 18 June @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
We welcome all families in celebrating Buddha’s birthday with cupcakes, songs, bathing Baby Buddha, mindful activities and much merriment and rejoicing!
We would like to welcome all families to join us in celebrating the universal values of kindness and wisdom, embodied by the Buddha, and something we can all emulate in our own lives. Celebrating Buddha’s birthday is a way to celebrate your own inner qualities and begin to bring forth your own buddha nature.
Join long-term Buddhist student and parent Demi Kehoe, and western nun Ven. Tseten, in an interactive online afternoon, with stories, discussion, a short guided meditation, and most importantly, lots of fun!
There will be a meditation, a discussion about what Saka Dawa is about (celebration of Buddha’s birth, life and enlightenment) as well as a story reading. The highlight is the annual Baby Buddha bath offering! We look forward to seeing you there!
