By practicing purposeful self awareness we are less reactive to emotions such as anxiety and stress and we can find a calmer and more satisfying path through our daily life.

Scientific studies show mindfulness can: reduce stress, anxiety and depressive symptoms; increase resilience; enhance cognitive performance; help with pain management and increase emotional and physical well-being. The afternoon will include: guided meditations, explanations of key concepts and simple ways to practice and incorporate mindfulness into your life. These classes are led by Venerable Drolkar, a western nun in the tradition of H.H. the Dalai Lama. Ven. Drolkar has a degree in Applied Ethics, leads classes in mindfulness at Griffith University and Langri Tangpa Buddhist Centre and loves to laugh.
