Mandala Party – Beginner’s Mandala Practice Day

Have you ever wished you could offer heap upon heaps of Mandalas within the support of a group? Demi Kehoe (a long-term student at Langri Tangpa Centre) will be lead three practice sessions where you can learn, experiment, and offer mountains of Mandalas to create mountains of merit together as a Centre.
Each session will also be tailored to beginners so even if you have never offered a Mandala before, it’s a great opportunity to come along and learn more. You can come along to just one of the sessions or be super-enthusiastic and do all three!
Offering mandalas is a powerful method for accumulating extensive merit in a short time. The Tibetan word means ‘taking the essence’. This means that on the basis of offering a mandala, and what you get from this is merit—the cause. The essence you take is the generation of the whole path, from guru devotion up to enlightenment, as well as the result, the unification of the dharmakaya and rupakaya.
Session 1 (9.30 am – 11 am)
Getting set up and learning how to do it, mandala offerings to Shaykamuni Buddha
Session 2 (11:30 am – 12:30 pm)
Building the table mandala, mandala offerings to Chenrezig, Buddha of compassion
Session 3 (2.00 pm – 4.00 pm)
Shorter Tara mandalas, completing the group table mandala, special dedications

What to bring:
- We have spare mandala sets for you to use in the gompa, but if you already have your own, please bring it along!
- If you have a mala (rosary) bring that too.
- Water bottle
- Your lunch! (use of microwave available)
