Lama Tsong Khapa Day Wisdom Retreat & Christmas Winter Wonderland
Sunday 18 December @ 10:30 am – 4:00 pm
Join us for a day of wisdom meditations, special dedications, and the gompa full offering of a Christmas winter wonderland!
Meditation on the seven wisdoms helps cut through the darkness of confusion to increase clarity and wisdom. These wisdoms promote memory, understanding, and reasoning, and are crucial not only for Buddhist study, but to cut the root of suffering itself.
This short meditation practice is beautiful in its simplicity, and direct in its approach. It includes the a blessing of light from Lama Tsong Khapa, a moving praise, and a glance meditation of the entire lam rim.
Lama Tsong Khapa was said to embody all aspects of a buddha – wisdom, compassion and power. He was a manifestation of Chenrezig the buddha of compassion, Manjushri the buddha of wisdom, and Vajrapani the buddha of action and skilful methods.
In the evening session we ill offer a short Heruka Vajrasattva Tsog, the feast of the dakas and dakinis, and make special dedications together.
Lama Tsong Khapa day is one of the most important days on our calendar, and celebrating it helps us to strengthen our connection with the Lam Rim and the Gelug lineage. Guru yoga practice is the heart of the path; without it we will have no success in our Dharma study or meditation.
The days events will be led by:

Session 1: Seven Wisdoms Meditation with chai tea afterwards
