How to Help Your Pets Get Enlightened
Tuesday 26 November @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Make the very most of your karmic connection with your pets, to bring them to the Dharma, and thus bring them all peace and happiness. In this seminar we will discover how to skillfully help our pets during their time with us. We will also discuss how to keep our mind calm and focused during illness or at their passing, and all the myriad of Dharma activities we can do for them to bring them to enlightenment.
Animals are free of the emotional baggage and mental obstacles that many human beings have, and so the Dharma can take root deeply in their mental continuum, planting a seed that will later ripen as a beneficial rebirth and a connection with the Dharma.
Our pets give us so much joy, and they are a treasured part of the family, the least we can do for them is ensure their lasting peace and happiness, and give them not just material comfort and medical support, but the ultimate comfort of hearing the Dharma and connecting with enlightened beings. There are many enjoyable and creative ways to recite mantras for them, carry (or chase) them around holy objects, and train their mind over dinner!
There will also be available a limited amount of Animal Liberation Kits (by donation): the ten great mantras, instructions, blessed mandala sand, blessing cord from Geshe Zopa, and other helpful items!

“It’s not enough that you keep the animals and they give you comfort. You must do something of practical benefit for them. Take them around holy objects, recite prayers in their ears, to plant the seed of all the realizations of the path to enlightenment. This makes a huge difference. It has inconceivable result, unbelievable result. That makes them have a good rebirth next life, to be born as a human being and meet the dharma.”
