How Buddhism Helps

Explore the three essential aspects of Tibetan Buddhism that can bring both personal liberation from problems and create global harmony.

This is an excellent opportunity to get an overview of core Buddhist teachings in the Tibetan tradition. The three principal aspects of the path to enlightenment show us how to deal with negative emotions so they don’t overwhelm us, how to develop a natural sense of compassion, and how to develop a realistic (and optimistic!) view of ourselves and the world. They are known as Renunciation, Bodhicitta and Correct View.

The course uses many practical examples of how the topic relates to our daily life, and each class has a guided meditation to integrate theory into a practical experience. It is ideal for first time students new to meditation or to Buddhism. You do not have to be a Buddhist to attend. Although the classes are sequential, each class is designed as a ‘stand alone’ topic, so you can join at any time.
