A highly relevant teaching for the modern world, mind training helps develop the altruistic attitude, and transform adversity into advantage. These instructions help us to open our heart, develop wisdom, and overcome difficulty. Geshe Tsultrim is, warm, humble and his kindness is palpable.
Geshe-la teaches through a translator, Israeli-born monk Ven. Kartzon. The benefit of waiting for the translation is that we have time to take notes, and digest the teachings in nice bite-size chunks!
The Mind Training Like Rays of the Sun exemplifies Je Tsong Khapa’s presentation of thought transformation. What is distinctive about this presentation is that it combines both the mind training instructions as they are recorded in Geshe Chekawa’s text with the pattern of the Stages of the Path.
Presented by resident FPMT Geshe:
Two sessions with a short break in between – enough to grab a tea or coffee and, catch up with friends, and head back in. Remember to BYO water bottle for the gompa.
Copies of the text will be available to use in the gompa. Mind Training Like the Rays of the Sun by Nam-Kha Pel (Author), Jeremy Russell (Editor).
