Event Series Event Series (See All)
Hybrid Hybrid Events

Sunday 9 June @ 1:30 pm 4:30 pm

Clear teachings on the essential aspects of Buddhist practice – where to start, what to focus on, and a clear progression from here to enlightenment. Discover what how to put the vast and complex teachings of the Buddha together into our daily life. With an approach based in practice, we will be able to develop realisations in the heart as well as the mind.

We are using “The Foundation of All Good Qualities” by Lama Tsong khapa. This is a one-page text containing the entire path to enlightenment, and an excellent place for beginner’s to start. It is also glance meditation for more established students wishing to focus and inspire their practice.

Geshe-la became a monk at age 14. He has a relaxed and friendly approach, a practical wisdom, and his humility and kindness are palpable. His teachings are practical and very encouraging, especially for beginners.

Geshe-la’s translator Jen will join us on zoom from Sydney. One benefit of waiting for the translation is that we have time to take notes, and digest the teachings in nice bite-size chunks!

Anybody who dedicates their life to achieving lam rim realizations with the goal to liberate numberless beings from the oceans of samsaric suffering and to bring to enlightenment, this is what I regard as the most important thing in the world.

– Lama Zopa Rinpoche

The whole thing, so many practices, all come down to live the daily life with bodhicitta motivation to put all the effort in that whatever you do. This way your life doesn’t get wasted and it becomes full of joy and happiness, with no regrets later, especially when you die and you can die with a smile outside and a smile in the heart.

– Lama Zopa Rinpoche
