Geshe Sherab: Eight Verses to Turn Your Life Around
Saturday, 30 October 2021 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

STOP PRESS!! Geshe-la has kindly accepted our request to add an EXTRA teaching to this series! Today is now the third in a series of four teachings!
Geshe Sherab is a Buddhist master who will share his wisdom, and depth of experience on a short yet effective practice, that can transform your daily life from problems and difficulties into a life of courage, satisfaction and peace.
Geshe-la will share with us his wisdom and experience in bringing a deep purpose to our day-to-day life, in developing resilience for life’s challenges, and courage in the face of adversity.
Each session will consist of:
– 45 minutes talk on the topic
– 5 minutes break
– 20 minutes guided meditation led by Geshe-la
– 15 minutes Q&A and discussion
You will be able to say your questions in person or simply type them into the chat, whatever you prefer.
The text, composed by our namesake Geshe Langri Tangpa, is a short and profound teaching in just eight verses. It guides us in taking the essence of this life, using both the good and the bad, the pleasant and the unpleasant, and not wasting even one moment!
These eight verses are a classic spiritual text of the lojong genre (mind training) and one of the main sources of inspiration for His Holiness the Dalai Lama in his daily meditations.
We welcome back Geshe Thubten Sherab for three mornings exclusive to Langri Tangpa Centre. Geshe-la is fluent in English, and teaches with a clarity and wisdom that allows the teachings to ‘just slide in’ to our minds and settle well.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy inspiration from an authentic Buddhist master! This event is ideal for those curious about Buddhism, and in-depth students alike.
For beginners in the Dharma, the most important thing is to try and integrate one’s study and practice.
