Annual ritual burning practice where we offer all our problems to the fire. Write your illnesses, disturbing emotions, regrets, fears and anxieties on little pieces of paper, and offer them to Dorje Khadro, the Buddha’s wisdom-fire. His blazing wisdom transforms them into bliss and emptiness.
THIS YEAR we also have the opportunity to bring in all your accumulated Dharma burning, which will be collected in a secure bin and disposed of in a respectful manner on the day of the puja. You will have the preceding two weeks to BYO “Dharma Burning” (notes, calendars, photocopies of teaching you no longer need)
This is a powerful way to cleanse the problems and difficulties of the year, purify mistakes and negative actions we may have committed or destructive things we may have said. This is a wonderfully effective way to finish the term clean and clear. At the beginning of the practice we write a list of all problems to purify, and then as a group we ritually offer them to the fire.
