NOW IN THE AFTERNOON! Family Tara Puja for Tweens and Teens
Saturday 30 July @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Tara for tweens and teens! The practice of Tara brings quick help, and this will be a quick puja! Tara liberates us from fears and anxiety, removes obstacles, and energises our whole life. In this condensed ritual, especially prepared by Miffi, we will capture the essence and the joy of practicing together!
This shortened version of the puja has been especially prepared by the SPC Miffi Maxmillion, keeping the essential elements, and with some novel ways to get the kids involved.
Unique to this puja:
– chant the homage verse to the tune of “frère jaques”(!)
– build a family mandala together in one of the basins
– offer music on as many instruments as you can
– a race to chant the praises without getting tongue tied
– offer a showering cloud of flower petals at then end
Tara is the guardian from all fears and anxieties. As depicted in the richly symbolic imagery, she arrives, ready to put to right the most terrible of situations. Tara also guards from nightmares (and who didn’t have them when they were a kid?) and anxieties.
Presented by registered FPMT teacher:
Only one RSVP per family is needed! Yes, you can just come along on the night! But your RSVP helps us plan and keep COVID safe.
“It is important to understand that true practice is something we do from moment to moment, from day to day. We do whatever we can, with whatever wisdom we have, and dedicate it all to the benefit of others. We just live our life simply, to the best of our ability.”Lama Thubten Yeshe
