A contemporary approach to an age-old problem – how to seize the day and take the essence of this human life? Discover how to structure our day to become distraction-free, use mundane chores on the path to enlightenment, and bring energy and purpose to our life.
– What to do when you don’t have time to meditate
– Speed metaphors to transform driving, cleaning, and getting dressed into the path to enlightenment
– How to set a powerful and personal motivation for your day
– Using the energy of regret to overcome guilt
In this short course, beginner’s will discover how to apply the Buddhist teachings within our busy, modern lifestyle. It is also a timely refresher for more established students to ensure they have all the ingredients for a strong and stable Dharma practice.
This course is based on a teaching called the “Five Powers for Life” which packages the entire Buddhist path into a daily practice. It’s not enough to understand – if we want to achieve lasting happiness, we must put it all into practice! Rinpoche has again and again recommended the Five Powers, but this teaching is not just for Buddhists, it is universally enjoyed!
The classes are sequential, but you are most welcome to join at any time, as each class features a standalone topic.
Presented by FPMT registered teacher:
“Using the Five Powers means that every single action you do, whether it is meditation and prayers or doing your job, becomes the cause of happiness for all sentient beings. This means that you will have the best, happiest life now and also the best, happiest life in the future – like the sun shining in this world and eliminating all darkness.”Lama Zopa Rinpoche
