Ven. Kartson: Equalising and Exchanging Self and Others #2
Saturday 4 November @ 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

The Buddhist practice of equalising and exchanging self with others, rooted in various philosophical and spiritual traditions, is a profound and transformative practice. It encourages individuals to transcend self-centered perspectives and cultivate empathy, compassion, and inter-connectedness.
By dismantling the illusory barriers that separate oneself from others, we can foster a deep recognition of shared humanity, and redirect our attention and care towards the happiness of all living beings.
Through introspection and contemplation, individuals embark on a journey of selflessness, expanding their capacity to understand, relate to, and genuinely serve others, leading to both personal growth and a more harmonious and compassionate world.
Evening Talk and Morning Teachings:
Join Venerable Kartson in an introductory talk tonight, followed by two teachings on Saturday morning.

“Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquility and happiness we all seek.”
– HH the Dalai Lama
“Anyone who successfully shields himself from the self-cherishing thought will find benefit in adverse situations, even the bad treatment and criticism of others. To such a person, these difficulties become meditations or Dharma challenges that are forceful ways to conquer the selfish mind.”
– Lama Zopa Rinpoche
