Congratulations and welcome back to LTC heroine Diana Secuya, returning after 8 months of strenuous retreat in France, on the buddha of compassion, Chenrezig. Diana has just completed the 108 Nyung-Ne in a row, where you abstain from speaking, eating, or drinking anything on every second day! Your time is spent night and day in developing sincere compassion, purifying the many disturbed states of mind that arise, and ploughing through layers of obstacles to reveal one’s true nature.
Overcoming huge obstacles, not only how challenging the retreat is, but the threat of being shut down due to covid-19, Diana has finally returned to Brisbane to enjoy an ‘intermediate state’ of 14 days quarantine, the perfect acclimatisation for the samsaric swirl.
In tonight’s interview Miffi Maxmillion, the Spiritual Program Co-ordinator of LTC, and occasional Nyung-Ne retreat leader, will ask Diana all about her extraordinary achievement, her biggest challenges and surprises during the retreat, and most importantly – how she kept her mind happy in the face of such difficulties!
Many LTC students were inspired to help sponsor Diana to do the retreat, and many have done Nyung-Ne retreats in the past, for 2, or 10, or 16 days, but to complete many months on Nyung-Ne is truly stupendous! You will have a chance on the night to ask Diana questions, and share in the adventure of her retreat!
