This is a one-off workshop open to everyone, with an option to join the following 5-week program if you decide to. The complete series runs from 7 March – 18 April (with a break for Easter)
Do you sometimes feel stuck – doomed to helplessly repeat past mistakes? Perhaps it seems like the outside world dictates everything about your life? This type of stress blocks creativity, leaving you stuck and repeating destructive patterns even though you don’t want to. Left unchecked, It can lead to anxiety, depression or burnout.
In a few short weeks, the Cultivating Emotional Balance course can put you back in the driver’s seat of your life. You will understand not just how emotions work, but how to have them working for you. This is more than a mere coping strategy. This is how to face the world with hope and confidence you can make a difference.
In these challenging times, the development of methods for “cultivating emotional balance” and promoting compassion for others is a tremendously important scientific and humanitarian goal. By integrating the wisdom traditions of modern psychology, current emotion research, and contemplative practices, CEB provides a secular platform for transformation. This unique program is the brainchild of Dr. Paul Ekman, a world renowned psychologist within the field of emotions, and Dr Alan Wallace, a highly respected meditation teacher and scholar of contemplative traditions.
This is the first time we have offered the full CEB program at Langri Tangpa Centre. It will run for six Saturdays (9 am – 4 pm) from 7 March until 18 April, with a break for Easter.
