Cittamani Tara Puja
Sunday 4 September @ 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Arya Tara is the Buddha of quick help. She heals fears and anxieties, removes obstacles, and energises and inspires our practice.
Arya Tara is the manifestation of the buddha’s compassionate activity, and this ceremony is particularly helpful in removing obstacles, receiving help in emergencies, resolving conflicts and energising spiritual practice.
In the aspect of Cittamani Tara, she benefits quickly the mind of those who pray to her. She arrives, ready to put to right the most terrible of situations. Everyone will benefit from this practice, whether they are religious or not.
We chant praises to the 21 Taras, make long mandala offerings, strew flowers and present offerings with the traditional hand gestures (mudras). This offering ceremony is chanted in both English and Tibetan. It is rich in symbolism.
There will be an opportunity to make a personal dedications for the well-being of friends and family, for the sick and vulnerable, for healing the planet and for the end of covid. We also dedicate for our holy gurus, success in our studies, and for all our Dharma aspirations.
Remember to BYO mandala set (if you have one) and any ritual implements. If you bring offerings to the puja, please make sure they are commercially wrapped, as we will distribute the to the needy at a later date.

The FPMT Foundation store may say “only people with the appropriate initiation may use this”. As long as the puja leader has the initiation, everyone is most welcome to attend, but if you want to do it on your own at some other time, you need the Cittamani Tara initiation.
