A Buddhist Approach to Mental Health

Saturday, 17 November 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Does a Buddhist search for enlightenment lead to better mental health? Could it be relevant in the modern world? How compatible is the Buddhist view with modern science and psychology?

More than 2500 years ago, a wandering Indian yogi achieved the pinnacle of mental health – full enlightenment. Yet in the modern world our mental health is at an all-time low and slipping from one year to the next. How is the Buddhist approach relevant in the modern world?

Over an afternoon we will combine the practical methods and meditation techniques with discoveries from neuroscience and psychology to attain optimal human flourishing.
