Sutras for the dear animals

LTC has a special interest in the welfare of the dear animals. As a thank-you to our major benefactors Sheryl Delacour and George Palmer, we made a commitment that supporting the dear animals become an integral part of our Buddhist program.

An important aspect of this is to hold regular sutra recitations at various animal sanctuaries and rescue farms throughout SE Queensland.

We try to benefit the dear animals in the most extensive of ways:

– Spiritually, by reciting the sutra so it leaves imprints on their mind for a fortunate next life.
– More immediately, in this life, we offer all donations collected on the day to the hosting organisation, to help look after the animal’s physical needs.

If you cannot make it along on the day, you can donate to the fund and we will offer it along with everyone else’s donations. in 2018 (pre-covid) we donated a total of $842 to various animal sanctuaries and land-care groups. We aim to better that, and offer the auspicious amount of $1,080.
