LTC Policies

This is where you will find our world's best practice policies, the FPMT international policies, and general precepts we ask all our members to abide by. The five Buddhist precepts are the basis of ethics in all FPMT centers. The FPMT Handbook states: For the centers to offer a Dharma environment depends on each member of the community emphasizing Dharma in their own life. To facilitate this all those visiting or living in a center, while in the center are required to live within the basic five precepts. The five precepts are not to kill, steal, indulge in sexual misconduct, lie or take intoxicants (includes alcohol, narcotics and cigarettes).

How our library is funded

How can you borrow the books? Where do the proceeds from sales of books go? These questions and more are answered here...

About the catalogue

The books are are organised into catagories (meditation, emotions, art, mind, etc) and these are reflected in the online catalogue and also on the actual shelves. This makes it easier to just browse the shelves in a section you are interested in. You can also browse the same catagories online, and toggle to the 'gallery' veiw to browse by cover (so much easier with the pictures!)
