Cultivating Emotional Balance with Corey Jackson, 2013 Introduction to CEB
Discover how to break negative habit patterns and cultivating lasting habits for happiness. Using both Buddhist psychology and western neuroscientific techniques, discover strategies to effectively break bad habit patterns, purify past behaviour, and encourage positive habits that bring peace and happiness.
Guided meditation on the four attitudes for happiness. Learn to relax, concentrate, practice mindfulness, and develop positive mental habits. We focus on a different topic each week to develop the heart-felt attitudes of compassion and kindness. Includes breathing and relaxation meditation and time for questions.
Develop the four immeasurable attitudes that foster our own happiness and support others as well. Guided meditations on kindness, compassion, joyous energy and equanimity. Learn to develop these attitudes so we don't burn out, but can stabilise and integrate them deeply. Learn to relax, practice mindfulness, and develop positive mental habits.
In Buddhist psychology, unhappiness is viewed as a symptom of the afflictive emotions, and the root of these is the distorted way we conceive of ourselves. By recognising and developing a realistic appreciation of our innate human qualities, we will naturally be able to overcome our fears and become happier.
