About this Class
This class is suitable for all levels, and there is no need to be a Buddhist - or even religious - to benefit from these universal insights. It is a great opportunity to practice and meditate with the strength of the group. Led by Carolyn Mason.
The class includes
- breathing and relaxation meditation to begin
- guided, step-by-step meditation on the four attitudes for happiness
- cultivating compassion, kindness and equanimity on a deep, heartfelt level
- general discussion, feedback and advice on your own expereince
Carolyn Mason met the dharma later in life and is making up for lost time, becoming the Centre’s first student to complete the Discovering Buddhism program, including the 3 month retreat in Nepal. Carolyn regularly leads meditations here at LTC. From a career in public sector policy and management, Carolyn puts these skills to use as a member of the LTC Management Committee, and Chair of the Board for a Brisbane-wide community services provider.
