Easter Nyung-Ne Retreat

Our annual Easter Retreat is a profound practice on Chenrezig the compassion buddha. This purification method involves keeping physical discipline, meditation and prostrations, and silence and fasting on alternate days. It is especially useful for people whose schedules cannot accommodate long-term retreat. Can't attend this year? We invite you to sponsor a Nyung-Ne and help a fellow LTC member to attend!

About the Practice

The meditation practice contains evocative prayers, mantra recitation, and step-by-step guided visualisations on 1000-arm Chenrezig, the embodiment of compassion. Doing even one Nyung-Ne or "abiding in retreat" for just two days is said to be as effective as three months of other purification practices. It is extremely powerful for healing illness, purifying negative karma, and opening the heart to compassion.

We invite you to sponsor a Nyung-Ne!

Help your fellow LTC members to attend - and make mountains of merit! If you cannot attend the retreat yourself, enabling someone else to do so accumulates the same amount of merit as if one does it oneself! Please include your special dedications, so the sponsored person can dedicate on your behalf. These dedications can be for the sick, the success of projects, the quick resolution to any problems you may have, the perfect human rebirth of the recently deceased, and for the halt to global warming and for world peace.
