REDCLIFFE: Mindfulness Classes

Learn how to develop a calm mind and begin to transform your life!

Studies show mindfulness can: reduce stress and anxiety; increase resilience and focus; and improve emotional and physical well-being. Mindfulness is a process of developing moment to moment inner awareness, which can lead to a more peaceful and satisfying path through life. Each session will include: guided meditations, short videos and explanations of key concepts. Each session is stand-alone so you can come to one or both. You don’t need any spiritual belief to practise and benefit from mindfulness!

Session 1
Body relaxation meditation; mindfulness of sound, breath and thoughts; theory about mindfulness and its benefits; how mindfulness can help us manage stress; what to do in a daily practice

Session 2
Body scan; mindfulness of breath and thoughts; the science of how mindfulness works; how mindfulness helps us deal with unhelpful/negative thoughts; what to do in a daily practice

Please make your donation with cash only, as there are no EFTPOS facilities. Class includes electronic handouts. Bookings are appreciated, or just come along on the day (entry to the library will be via the car park underneath). To book or for more information email Ven. Drolkar at lozangdrolkar@gmail.com or phone/text 0410 260 183.
